Why is the widget missing?

Key Ring needs to be stored on your phone for the widget to work. To check if you have the app stored on your phone and not your SD Card, click on the phone's menu button, 'Settings' > 'Applications' > 'Manage Applications' > 'Key Ring'. Then you will see a tab that either says 'Move to SD Card' or 'Move to Phone'.
